Babcock Semen Processing Centers are the link between your farm
and the genetic improvements vital to your continued success. To
minimize genetic lag between your herd and the improvements made
at the nucleus level, we employ a rapid rollover system based on
weekly evaluations that determine each boar's true genetic value.
On average, each center rolls their boar battery every eleven
months.
New technologies to improve our already meticulous quality control
system are implemented as they become available. Implementing
computer assisted semen analysis in our labs to further minimize
variation is just one example. In addition, we regularly use
multiple independent third parties to validate our quality
assessments and measurements.
Stringent quality control measures, combined with unparalleled
biosecurity insure every dose of semen delivered to you is of the
same high quality demanded for our own nucleus herd.
Biosecurity begins
with location and continues with careful health monitoring
protocols. Babcock's nucleus herd and boar studs are strategically
located in isolated, low pig-density areas. Since all boars from
all genetic lines come directly from Babcock's closed nucleus herd
to our boar studs, the risk of disease introduction is virtually
eliminated.
Biosecurity continues
through delivery to your farm. To maintain the quality of every
dose, over 98% of all manufactured doses are reliably delivered
through our own courier system in a constant, stable environment.
A solid foundation of
biosecurity, enhanced by continuing quality and technology
innovations make Babcock's Semen Processing Centers authorities in the
industry. You can count on us to safely deliver the latest in gene marker
and performance advances to further enhance your farm's bottom
line.
